Ron Santo - Hall of Famer

Ron Santo - long time Chicago Cub's third baseman and radio voice - after 32 years - is finally in the Baseball Hall of Fame - almost a year to the day of his passing.

I am conflicted:  Not sure there is anyone that would've received and carried this honor with more joy and humility - while still ALIVE - than Ronnie...

The HOF voters know that they blew it.

"Better late than never" is no real consolation here...

Regardless, a hearty "Congratulations" is in order for "The 'Ol Third Baseman".

I'm glad I got to watch you play.

I am glad I got to meet you and talk to you for those 5 minutes at Wrigley - amazingly - with no one else around.

I am glad your voice is part of the soundtrack of my life.

I am glad this little boy fell deeply in love with the game of Baseball - during your era.

Thank You, Ronnie.

Go ahead, click your heels...!
