More SF / CA Ball Park #2

Wish I could write more - because so much has been happening - but once again it is getting late...  We need to get up somewhat early tomorrow as we will be traveling down the California Coast toward LA!

Anyway - we had a fantastic final day hanging out in San Francisco - particularly exploring China Town and riding a Trolly!

Ball Park #2 was the "O.co Field" - a.k.a. The Oakland Coliseum.  We saw the A's beat the Red Sox pretty easily, 6-1.

Here are some more "Pics Of The Day"...!

In Union Square - planning our "Walking Tour".

"Meet me at the Clock" is a famous saying in San Fran.
This is said "Clock" - found in the lobby of the St. Francis Hotel.

"See no evil - Speak no evil - Hear no evil"
Riiiiiight...!!

Becky's new buddy.
Oh, if only this were true...!!

The entrance to China Town.

Checking out a China Town shop.

Lombard Street - this time uphill by foot!

Straight downhill, baby!

Getting ready to ride a SF Trolly.

All aboard!!

Ball Park #2 - Oakland!

Can you tell it's really a football field?

Not as crowded as our last Park (AT&T).

Play Ball!

Settling in to watch the game...

It was chilly!  Glad we were
smart enough to bring blankets.

Eventually it became a Night Game!

CA Ball Park #1

Today we went to the first of FIVE Ball Parks that we will visit while in California:  AT&T Park - the home of the San Francisco Giants!

What a BEAUTIFUL Stadium!!  And we got to see an exciting game - Giants vs Reds - it was a close one - decided in the last at bat in the bottom of the 9th.  There was almost a bench clearing brawl too!

We were part of a sell out Sunday crowd - the 2002 World Series Giants Team was honored before the game - and we had seats that overlooked the entire field - and over famous "Levi's Landing" in right field.

We had a GREAT baseball experience today...!

Very thankful for a family that supports my Quest to get to all 30 MLB Parks...

Won't write much tonight - it's getting late - and we have a lot of walking to do tomorrow in San Fran - and then Ball Park #2 in Oakland...

Hope you enjoy these photos:

Entrance to a beautiful Baseball Park.

Honoring the 2002 Giants World Series Team before the game.

Getting ready to watch a good one!

The view from our "nose-bleed" seats.

No complaints - a good enough view!

Josh - with the scoreboard behind him.

Me & the Beckster.

The famous "Coke Bottle" & "Glove"

Ball game in progress...!

Nice view from behind home plate.

Spectacular...!

"Levi's Landing" - not many in the post steroid era
can hit them over this wall anymore.

Kayakers in McCovey Cove - hoping to catch a
home run ball that would never come.

Benches cleared over two brush back pitches -
but no punches thrown.

Seagulls going after what the bleacher fans left behind.

Lots of pictures around the stadium of the
greatest Giant of them all: Willie Mays.

Made it to San Fran...

Nothing much to report today...  We had a pretty easy Travel Day to make it from Yosemite to the San Francisco Bay / Oakland area...  We will be here for three nights - and TWO Baseball Games...!!

As we drove in to SF, we wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge right away.  It was sunny and clear the entire trip - until we made it to the Bridge - where it was foggy, windy and chilly!  Go figure...

I love our Clan.  We travelled almost 5 hours - dealt with "turtle traffic" for the first time - and even though the weather conditions were less than ideal - no one complained at all - we still had a blast walking halfway across the GGB and back...

If we have time, we might go back - at least to get some pictures that do some justice to the view...!

Fairly clear when we started our walk
toward the Golden Gate Bridge...

It got foggy real quick!

There were several crisis calling booths along the Bridge to help with those tempted to jump.

The kids were having fun trying to get people
driving across the Bridge to wave at us.

I really love these people...!!
