Time Changes Us...

I am officially now "A Misser".

I never used to be one.  I could go on all kind of trips away from my wife and family and not be overly emotional about being apart from them for several days.

Well, that is no longer the case.  Man, right now: I REALLY MISS my wife and kids!!!

I have been in Dallas for a Conference the past few days - and I am SO THANKFUL for cell phones to be able to call and text my wife and children...

I haven't turned in to the "blubbering" kind of  "Misser" - but who's to say I won't be one of those in a few years...

Wanting What Is B.E.S.T.

Saw this today and I liked it...  (Goes well with a previous post from a few days ago!)

You and I are called to be in places and in relationships where we are asked to help bring out the BEST in others. Maybe you are a parent, or a boss, or a teammate or a co-worker, or a teacher...

God has a plan to help people discover abundant life - and YOU are a part of that plan in the lives of people you know and care for...

How about using the following acronym when you hope to bring out what is B.E.S.T. in someone else:

          B - BELIEVE in them
          E - ENCOURAGE them
          S - SHARE with them
          T - TRUST them

How could this not benefit everyone??  People are are led toward growth and maturity when they are nurtured.  Who wouldn't feel more secure and motivated and responsive if someone intentionally  believed, encouraged, shared and trusted them?

If you are looking for a simple foundation on which to begin a relationship or improve an existing one, go out of your way to give your B.E.S.T. to them...
