We left the Bay Area Tuesday morning around 10:00 AM and took most of the day to get to Camarillo, just north of LA. The scenery was amazing all the way down - crashing waves, rocky shores, winding road, rolling hills - all on a beautiful clear & sunny day! Didn't get a chance to take a ton of pics - but as you'll see in some pics below - we stopped at a State Park for lunch and got to see a waterfall - and later on, some elephant seals on the shore...
And a personal highlight (no pics though), we were actually able to drive on "Ventura Highway". That has long been a favorite America song...! We didn't drive it "in the sunshine" - but a huge full moon was good enough for me!!
At the start of our drive down Highway 1.
Crazy good views!
