ROAD TRIP!!

Our 2012 Ochoa Family Summer California Vacation is finally here!!


After a CRAZY Sturgis Falls Weekend - with the kids performing at Overman Park, me playing 2 gigs and running a half marathon (among other things) - we finally got everything packed and hit the road!!


We left Cedar Falls around 11:00 PM to head WEST!!  Our first drive was through the night and most of Monday - almost 1200 miles - to Salt Lake City, UT.

We're here!!  We made it to the hotel and are relaxing...  We will spend tomorrow (Tuesday) - sleeping in a bit - and then checking out Salt Lake City, the Mormon Tabernacle, the '02 Winter Olympics Site and then go swimming in the Great Salt Lake!


After a long night and day on the road here are some highlights --

Becky:  Dissing Wyoming!

Joel:  Waking up at 5:00 AM to get donuts at a gas station.

Lydia:  Swimming in the hotel pool.

Josh:  Driving through the mountains in Utah.

Martha:  The scenery was spectacular!

Q:  Josh being old enough now to help with the driving.

The Adventure is just beginning...!!
